Camogie & Hurling
The fastest field sport in the world. Stick and sliotar, with a bit of Hockey, Lacrosse and Handball in the mix.
Gaelic Football
Fast, skilful, exciting: what you get where Soccer, Basketball and Rugby meet. Played by men, and by women as Ladies Gaelic Football.
About the club
Over 20 years of Gaelic games in Limburg
The Gaels started as a GAA club in 2005 and became a Student Sports Association at Maastricht University in 2021. We train twice a week and play in Benelux and European Camogie, Hurling and Gaelic Football competitions.

The Gaels fielded their first full 9-a-side Camogie team and won the Shield at the final round of the 2026 Kingspan European Camogie Championship. - 12 teams set for Dads & Lads Social Hurling in Maastricht
Twelve over-35s teams from Ireland and across Europe head to Sportpark West for the Dads & Lads Social Hurling tournament on Saturday 24 October. - Benelux Shield champions
The combined Maastricht and Nijmegen ladies side won the 2026 Benelux Ladies Football Shield.

My Irish friend brought me along for training one day, and I haven’t stopped coming since! Have had a lot of fun travelling around Europe for tournaments!
