Can I Train and Play With the Maastricht gaels?
Yes, you can! Everybody’s welcome to join!
Join us in a few simple steps!
- Firstly, you will require a UM SPORTS membership valid for the period during which you wish to play with the club as soon as possible! You will not be able to play with the club if you are not in possession of one! For more information regarding memberships, please direct yourself to https://www.maastrichtuniversity.nl/support/sports/memberships. You can also purchase a membership online through umsa.mendixcloud.com/ Once you have obtained the membership, please go to “My Associations” ->”Add New” and scroll down the list to select Maastricht Gaels. This way, the university knows how many members are registered with the club. It is of vital importance that you do this step.
- Once you have your UM SPORTS membership, you will need to join the club via FOIREANN (the GAA online registration system). Please set up an account, and pay the fee via the link immediately! If you wish to choose the “PAY IN CLUB” option, please transfer the money to the following bank account: Ac: MAASTRICHT GAELS IBAN: NL42 RABO 0126 3642 06 Be sure to contact us to make sure the payment was successful! Any student who is a member of a club in Ireland should download, fill in, sign and send in the relevant “Student Permit Form(s)” as soon as possible, as they take a few weeks to process. A Student Permit means you can still play with your ‘home’ club and the Gaels while studying in Maastricht! A Student Permit needs to be renewed on an annual basis, so even if you had one last season you need to apply again.

- NON – STUDENTS are unable to purchase UM SPORTS Memberships. Please contact us so that we can arrange a remedy as soon as possible!
